I made my master's career out of doing just that when I studied Gigposters, album art, and music culture artifacts. Vinyl especially gives the listener a chance to soak up lyrics, liner notes, pictures, and sometimes posters, in order to experience an album as a work of art. An album tells a story and there is a reason for the progression and order of songs. With the internet age and convenience of digital consumerism, it is easy to bypass an album's story when it is not represented the way it is handed to you when you buy a CD or a Vinyl record. Long live vinyl! I truly believe in taking chances with records based upon aesthetics.
